I love American East Coast metal

New York City and New Jersey. Those two are two of the places, but almost the same one, around the world that some of my absolute favorite bands hail from. I generally prefer the NY and east coast bands before the ones from the west coast. I like the generally darker and heavier sound the e.c. bands have. I love Type O Negative, Life of Agony, Danzig, Overkill, Anthrax, Spread Eagle (my favorite sleaze band btw), Circus of Power, Warrior Soul, amongst others.

I also wanna say R.I.P. Peter Steele. You're sorely missed by us all.

Type O Negative - World Coming Down (Live)

Spread Eagle - Switchblade Serenade

Danzig - How The Gods Kill

Circus of Power - Call of the Wild

One of my new favorite bands!

Before the "Dorm Daze movies" post I made today, it was almost a month since I last wrote something. I haven't really been too much up to do some fucking blogging, but I have been searching for new music! I found out about Samael a few weeks ago when my dudebro Big D recommended them. Great band, kind of a new sound in the style / genre. They originally played black metal (which I've never really been a big fan of, I was always the death metal guy) but later evolved into something so much more - (like an) industrial heavy-black metal band (or something). Good shit, to say at least. My favorite era of Samael is the middle one, when they started adding all the keyboards and drum machines. As I said, I'm not a big black metal fan, so their first two albums aren't too much like my cup of tea. Their 21st century work is good, but not as good as the late 90's stuff. They started adding oriental music influences into their music that I'm not too fond of. I don't really like any folk music at all, not even the Swedish (I'm not a patriot anyway). But anyway, enought of my boring talking and I don't really wanna spend more time on it neither. I hate blogging. Here are some Samael vids:

From 1993, when they started evolve into the sound I love with them.

From the album "Passage" (1996) where they were in "full effect". They're good live too, but I don't really get why the singer Vorth wants to look like a Satanic MC Hammer. But who cares, the music is sick!

One of their most famous tunes - "On Earth". Catchy as hell. Live on here as well, very good.

Another great one..

Dorm Daze movies

A little while back I purchased a movie called Dorm Daze for ten Swedish "kronor" (about one dollar and 30 cents). I thought it sure was going to be a B-movie and also worse than the American Pie series, but I watched it and it was funny as hell! Then I discovered there was a second too, which was just as fun! I usually don't laugh out loud to movies, but I sure did to especially the second movie. One of the funniest I've seen. Now I got to learn that a third one was made too, but with the title Transylmania. I'm gonna look at that one today!
